We continue to edge ever closer to the unlocking of covid-19 restrictions and hopefully getting some semblance of normality back in our lives. I hope that you are coping with the situation both on a business and personal level in these very challenging times. In line with the rest of the country we are now moving into the next phase of the crisis with a few people back in the office where they could not provide an effective service to our clients from home. This will be a slow process with due regard to the safety of staff both in the office and travelling. We have not set any time limit on this stage and we will continue to be guided by the government and the best interests of all stakeholders; our clients and staff.
I have been delighted by the response of our staff to making sure it is very much a case of “business as usual” and send them my thanks for their professionalism – to be fair, I never expected anything less! We temporarily “furloughed” some staff who could not work from home but in line with good practice they continued to be paid their salary in full and we will not be claiming under the government’s Job Retention Scheme.
I have also been delighted with the messages of support and gratitude received from you, our clients; it is heartening, in what can be a very impersonal world, to know that our efforts on your behalf are appreciated – thank you. However, I should also like to repeat my message to you on my previous emails that, if you have any problem with or suggestion to make regarding our service to you, I would be most grateful to hear from you.
Like everyone in the country, we have been humbled by the hard work and dedication of the key workers out there, particularly those in the NHS and therefore, in line with our core values, we set ourselves the task of trying to help, even if only in a small way. I am delighted to share with you that we have been able to organise, help develop and deliver and fund the production of several hundred high quality face visors, which are currently being delivered to two hospitals. We are also excited that interest has been shown by another hospital for a very large amount.
King & Shaxson remains at your disposal with access to the various markets in which we operate and I remain available should you have any issues you would like to discuss with me in these difficult times.
Continue to stay safe.
